Who we are
Hommato is operated by Werino, an individual based in Croatia. This policy explains what data Hommato collects, why, and how you can control it. Questions or requests can be sent to hello@hommato.com.
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. As you use the app, Hommato stores the household data you add: bills, appliances, car service records, warranties, calendar events, and any photos you attach to those records. We also store your currency preference and, if you enable push reminders, a device push token.
Household sharing
When you join or create a household in Hommato, the records in that household — bills, appliances, car and warranty entries, and calendar events — are visible to everyone else in that household. Invites are sent as single-use links; joining a household doesn't require sharing your email with the person who invited you.
Push notifications
To send reminders, Hommato stores a device push token and uses it to deliver notifications based on the reminder cadence you choose (relaxed, balanced, or proactive). Notifications are currently sent to Android devices via Expo's push service, which relays delivery through Firebase Cloud Messaging; these providers only see the token and message needed to deliver the notification, not your household data. iOS push support is planned.
Photos
Photos you attach to a bill or warranty are stored so they can be viewed by your household and are linked to that record until you delete it.
Where your data is stored
Hommato's data is hosted with Supabase, our database and storage provider. Because Hommato is available globally, your data may be processed on servers outside your own country; we rely on our provider's standard safeguards for these transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account or household exists. You can delete your account at any time from the app; doing so permanently deletes your profile, push token, and notification settings. If you own a household, deleting your account deletes that household and everything in it for every member — Hommato doesn't currently support transferring ownership first, so make sure you're the last one out if others still use it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to how it's processed. Account and content deletion are available directly in the app; for anything else, contact us at hello@hommato.com. If you're in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children's privacy
Hommato is not directed at children and isn't intended for use by anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, we don't share household records with anyone outside your household, and we don't run analytics, tracking, or advertising in the app or on this site.
Future changes
Hommato is currently free. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we'll update this policy to describe any payment provider involved before that provider processes any of your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Hommato evolves. We'll post the updated version here with a new date.
